Project “Non formal learning – The Danish Model” great succes!

From the 4th of October till the 8th of October Holstebro Douzelage has hosted the workshop ”Non formal learning – The Danish Model”. Five Douzelage towns particpated – Meerssen (Netherlands), Sigulda (Latvia), Türi (Estonia), Chojna (Poland) and Skofja Loka (Slovenia).
Each country had sent two teachers and two students for the workshop, which offered the opportunity to see, how Denmark/Holstebro organizes youth-school, both in regards to non formal learning and extra curriculum activities.
Even though the weather was not at it’s best (only Friday was lovely and sunny) the Douzelage-guests enjoyed the activities – outdoor as well as indoor. There was also time for a bit of sightseeing, both in the town of Holstebro and in the countryside and at the North Sea.
Friendships were formed among teachers as well as students, and the seeds were sown for possible further cooporation.
