Niederanven

At the border of the Grünewald, the largest forest in Luxembourg, 10 km from Luxembourg-city, lays in a picturesque natural environment the municipality of Niederanven, representing the villages of Niederanven, Oberanven, Hostert, Rameldange, Ernster, Senningen, Senningerberg, Waldhof and Staffelter. Niederanven has a very rich historical background, partly also due to its numerous sources, crossing the landscape.

The Romans already left their traces and later on the mill business, as well as an early rail connection with the city allowed a constant development. Today there are the national airport and several business zones on the Niederanven territory, keeping a never stopping activity running.

As the landscape is especially beautiful, most of the inhabitants are very fortunate and live in luxury houses. A new swimming and wellness centre has recently been opened and there are more than 60 different leisure clubs available to the inhabitants.
