Representatives from Altea, Bad Kötzting, Meerssen, Sherborne, Siret, Tryavna gather in Bundoran to march in the annual St Patrick’s Day parade.
As part of a scaled back GM in Agros, Cyprus (due to the lingering Coronavirus), a Douzelage wall is unveiled featuring a tile from each member town.
An online meeting of Douzelage members takes place to celebrate as the General Meeting in Škofja Loka, Slovenia is cancelled due to Covid 19.
The 44th GM brings delegates to Asikkala, Finland.
With the theme “Douzelage Friendship”, the first photo contest takes place. It is won by Bor Dolenc from Škofja Loka, Slovenia who took the picture in Oxelösund, Sweden during the 43rd General Meeting there. The photo features Ovi Oniciuc (RO), Sergej Novak (SL), Evelin Koev (BG) and Shane Smyth (IE) and is entitled “Flag Roundabout”.
Following the withdrawal of Lithuanian partner town Prenei, a new partner is found as the GM unanimously accepts Rokiškis in the north west of Lithuania to be the new representative town.
The 43rd Douzelage General Meeting is held in the Swedish partner town of Oxelösund.
To update to reflect the latest memberships of Douzelage, a new codicil is signed at the 42nd General Meeting in Bad Kötzting, Germany.
Cezary Salamończyk is made honorary president of Douzelage. Mike Balfour and Mario Calleja are both made honorary Vice Presidents of Douzelage. The three served on the board from 2010 to 2016.
