Following the EU expansion in 2004, 5 new towns join the organisation – Chojna-PL, Köszeg-HU, Sigulda-LV, Sušice-CZ & Türi-EE. The codicil to the original charter is updated accordingly.
The 26th Douzelage General Meeting takes place in our Austrian partner town of Judenburg.
5 new towns join Douzelage – Chojna, Poland; Köszeg, Hungary; Sigulda, Latvia; Sušice, Czech Republic & Turi, Estonia
Ed Weber (Niederanven – LU) is elected third President of Douzelage, Alphonse Henrard (Houffalize – BE) Vice- President responsible for liaison with Brussels and Günther Pecher (Kötzting – DE) responsible for Projects.
The 25th Douzelage General Meeting takes place, once again, in our Danish partner town of Holstebro.
The 24th Douzelage General Meeting takes place, once again, in our Portuguese partner town, Sesimbra.
The 23rd Douzelage General Meeting takes place, once again, in our Belgian partner town of Houffalize.
The 22nd Douzelage General Meeting takes place in our Swedish partner town of Oxelösund.
The 21st Douzelage General Meeting takes place in our (then) Finnish partner town of Karkkila.
With the addition of three new towns to Douzelage (Karkkila-FI, Oxelösund-SE & Judenburg-AT) a new codicil is signed in Niederanven, Luxembourg.
