Lá Fhéile Pádraig in Bun Dobhráin
After two years of absence due to Covid, the celebrations of Saint Patricksday were finally back were they belong on the 17th of March: in any given street in Ireland!
Six Douzelage towns travelled to Ireland to experience this unique celebration in ‘our’ one and only Bundoran. Delegations from Altea, Bad Kötzting, Meerssen, Sherborne, Siret and Tryavna were all invited to not only celebrate, but actually prominently walk the parade brotherly with inhabitants of the county and newly arrived Ukrainians, who were carrying their flag with pride. Just a moment of distraction to forget about the awful war back home.
The event was very well organised and very green! But above all a sense of brotherhood enchanted all of us: the Douzelage spirit to the max!
