Digital Citizen in a Digital World – PO WER
”Digital citizen in digital world” project deals with issues which are routine for almost every young person anywhere in the world. According to UNICEF research 170 000 children start using the Internet every day. Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, You Tube, Tumbler – there is probably no young person who is not aware of these expressions. Everybody, regardless their intentions and beliefs, takes part in the process of digitalisation of society, even digitalisation of life. Global network, social media are significant part of daily routine for almost all inhabitants of our planet, using them takes more and more time. It concerns mainly young people who does not know the world without the Internet.
Participants of ”Digital citizen in digital world” project will acquire or improve their knowledge and abilities allowing them using the digital technology in a safe and effective way.
The project also aims at:
– comparing the process of digitalisation of societies (e-court, e-administration, e-learning, e-shopping, e-work etc) in project partner countries,
– acquiring the abilities of risk and time assessment while using the Internet,
– getting to know risks of privacy violation in virtual world,
– acquiring the abilities of creating the image in the Net,
– development of assertiveness while using social media,
– attempting to set the goals for the development of digital technology,
– development of assertiveness while using social media,
– promoting social relations of people in real world,
– increasing organisational skills among project participants,
– integration of the youth from partner countries and Polish groups.
There will be 40 students plus teachers from Complex of Upper Secondary Schools in Chojna participating in the project, students from receiving schools from Finland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia. Polish participants will be chosen through the transparent, respecting equal chances recruitment process. Participation of students with disabilities will be ensured.
Students will be involved in all stages of the project. They will take part in all activities in preparatory period as well as during mobilities. Project participants will also be responsible for most of management issues, promotion and dissemination of project results. Preparatory activities will include linguistic, cultural, psychological, pedagogical and specialistic (connected with projectcontent) preparation. There will be seven 5-day mobilities involving ten students and two teachers each. Before the mobilities, preparatory visits were planned. During the mobilities each group will execute two issues which will be the same for all groups: comparing digitalisation of societies (e-courts, e-administration, e-learning, e-shopping etc) and attempting to set the goals for the development of digital technology. The rest of the issues will be different for each group, so that in the end of the project it would be possible to get overall result. The evaluation of the project activities will take place at milestones of the project: after preparatory period, after the mobilities and in the end of the project. Project results will include: project brochure, powerpoint presentations of activities in each country, powerpoint presentation of the whole project, an educational film helping to learn basic words and expressions in Polish and a letter written by project participants to the President of European Parliament.

Project results will be disseminated on local, national and international levels by sending and receiving institutions.
