Best practices on mobility and accessibility in “Juniors for Seniors” encourages towns to do better
From the 23rd to the 25th September the 4th project “Juniors for Seniors – Active Ageing” zoomed in on transport and accessibility for seniors. Eight partner towns presented the obstacles and best practices in their towns and discussed the different ideas and solutions. How to make town halls, hospitals and railway stations more accessible and how to organize transport in between. During one workshop the accessibility of Judenburg was tested by the participants, crossing the town center in wheelchairs and blindfolded. All participating towns were enthusiastic about the information and ideas they could take home. And this is not the last we have seen from “Juniors for Seniors”….
